All of our fireplace screens are custom made, usually with hammered steel and bronze highlights, but if you are interested in other materials, please let us know. A replaceable heavy screen with a clear coated finish is applied to the back side of each screen.
I started making fireplace screens back in the late 1980s when an architect from California called me to do custom screens for a bunch of cabins he was building in Colorado. I built a mobile workshop and drove out there to start work, and I wound up building 16 screens that were scribed directly into the surrounding rock.
While we really enjoyed this type of onsite work, most of our customers find it much cheaper and easier to make a scribed template of their fireplace opening that we use to make a custom–fit screen.
Prices start at $2,500
