How it Works

Balcony Panels

Designing a custom balcony can feel overwhelming.
Our job is to make it simple and predictable.

Below is the exact process we follow on every project, so you know what will happen and when. Clear steps remove the “mystery” and make the project feel faster and easier, even if the home build itself takes months.

Step 1: Design & Reservation

Lock in your design and your spot in our build schedule.

What you do

You tell us about your project: new build or remodel, rough opening sizes, and the style you like.
You share a few photos or plans if you have them.
You choose examples you like from our gallery such as elk, horses, mountains, trees and other scenes.

What we do

We review your home plans and photos.
We sketch your custom panel concept and recommend panel layout and sizing.
We give you a clear price range and answer your questions before you commit.

Money & timing

If the price range works for you, you place a 10% Design & Reservation Deposit.
This 10% is fully credited toward your panel total.
If we truly cannot come up with a design you are happy with, we refund the 10% and the process stops there.
This deposit also locks in today’s pricing for a set period and reserves a future fabrication window for your project.

Typical time in this step is 1 to 2 weeks, depending on how quickly we receive your feedback.

Step 2: Final Measurements & Fabrication Slot

We coordinate with your builder when the house is ready.

What you do

When framing, stairs, and posts are in place, you or your contractor contact us.
You or your contractor take final measurements using our checklist and send them to us.
You review and approve the final drawings we prepare from those measurements.

What we do

We confirm all final measurements and details with you and/or your builder.
We finalize drawings for your approval so everyone is working from the same plan.
We schedule your panels into a specific fabrication window in our shop.

Money & timing

Once you approve the final drawings, you pay an additional 50% Fabrication Deposit.
At this point you have paid 60% total (10% + 50%), and your job is fully in our production queue with steel, cutting time and powder coat reserved for you.
Typical time from final measure approval to completed panels is about 3 to 4 weeks.

If your build is delayed

Your 10% Design & Reservation Deposit does not disappear if the builder runs behind.
We move you to the next available fabrication window.
One schedule move is included; additional moves may have a small rescheduling fee if needed..

Step 3: Build, Finish & Ship

We build it in Bozeman and ship it to your site.

What you do

At this point, your panels are in our production queue, and you simply wait while we build and finish them.
When we let you know that your panels are finished, boxed, and ready to ship, you pay the remaining 40% balance.
You or your contractor then installs the panels at your home.

What we do

We cut, weld and finish your custom panels to your approved design.
We powder coat your parts for a high‑quality, durable finish.
We inspect all panels before they leave the shop.
We package and ship to your home or builder and provide tracking and installation guidelines for your contractor.

Money & timing

The final 40% payment is due only when your panels are complete and ready to leave our shop.

Shipping time inside the United States is usually 3 to 5 days.
